The Sweet Innocense of a 2 Year Old

Addy: Mommy, I love Jesus

Me: Jesus Loves you too!

Addy: When I get bigger and bigger I want to see Jesus

Me: Ok honey, when you get bigger and bigger

Addy: Jesus lives in Heaven

Me: Yes, Jesus lives in Heaven with God

Addy: I want to go to Heaven, you'll come with me?

Me: Yes

Addy: I want to go to Heaven but I don't want to go alone, you'll come and drop me off?

Me: (crying now...) I'll be in heaven with you baby, but when you go visit Jesus in Heaven you don't get to come back so let's stay here for a while so we can spend time with our family ok?

Addy: Ok

A Boat for Chris!

As you are probably well aware, Chris is a lover of the water! One of my fondest memories from our dating years is the two of us out on the Potomac fishing in the hot sun, eating PB&J and Kringle's and him singing "Amarillo by Morning" to me. We spent every weekend that we could out on the water and I miss it terribly.

After redoing much of his little boat, Chris sold it last year and other than a canoe I haven't really been out on the water in a LONG time....probably since before Addy was born! So....with much prayer, God blessed and Chris was able to get a GREAT deal on a 20ft Wellcraft this past spring. He new he had to redo the transom but since his Dad used to do marine repair he decided to go for it. The boat is really actually in great condition and even has a cuddy (sp?) where Addy and I can potty and nap! :) Tate will join us as well...when he's a bit older! It's not Chris' dream boat...but it's a nice boat.

Unfortunately we haven't been able to take the boat out yet this year because Chris waited to work on it until the house was sided (Praise the Lord and thank you hunny!) Below are some pictures of what it currently looks like....Chris and his Dad have their hands full but I think they are both enjoying it...although at this point in the game Chris is ready for it to be done!! Hopefully we'll be out on the water soon and starting and new family tradition with the kids!
