LIR RESPATI BUMIDAYA
I usually don't do posts like these, because really, who cares except
for me and a few close family members. But, it is fun to compare growth
stats. The kids had their 6 yr, 4 yr, and 4 month check ups at the same
time. They were all supposed to get shots, but I told the girls
beforehand that they wouldn't have to - so I didn't make them do it.
Yeah, I know, but I had all three of them by myself and didn't really
feel like fighting about it. Both of the girls had to get shots in the
butt a couple of months ago for strep throat. Those shots hurt like
hell and they both still very much remember how much they hurt. They
agreed to get them in August (before school) instead. So, poor Asher
was the only one to get his immunizations - only two shots, plus an oral
vaccine. However, they made him very irritable for the next two days.
And even though I know that the connection between autism and vaccines
has been largely debunked, vaccines still freak me out a
little. Anyway, here are the stats:
@ 4 months:
Audri: 15 lbs 1 oz - 26 1/2 inches
Addison: 13 lbs - 25 1/2 inches
Asher: 16 lbs 8 oz - 26 1/2 inches
The funny thing is, he even looks more like Audri too (sometimes, anyway) - and cries the same as she did as a baby.
@ 4 years:
Audri: 38 lbs - 42 inches
Addison (now): 37 lbs - 41 inches
It will be interesting to see if Addie ever catches up, or if she will be my little runt (relatively speaking of course).
Just disregard Audri's hair not being brushed. They also had on make-up that they applied themselves.
The Hubs
In most of my posts, especially those that serve as updates, Dustin is
usually mentioned last, almost as an afterthought. I don't know why
this is. I guess the kids are young, and therefore change more, but if
it weren't for him, I wouldn't have those kids, and those kids wouldn't
have such beautiful long eyelashes. I guess the kids say funnier stuff,
but if it weren't for at least somewhat an inheritance of his sense of
humor, there would be nothing to write about. My point is that I really
should spend more time talking and bragging about my hubby. I have
never met a harder worker, or a man more in love with his family.
Last week, this was his schedule:
6 am - 6 pm - work normal job and run 3 miles over lunch
7 pm - 9 pm - work on deck job with his dad
9 pm - 10 pm - shower, help put kids to bed
10 pm - 12 am - eat supper, do chores, fall asleep watching TV
12 am- 1 am - up with Asher
1 am - 6 am - sleep
And if the house was a mess (hey, I work too - even if it is from home), he would help me pick up. Yeah, I have an amazing guy.
Fortunately, this schedule only lasted for a week, because it was hard not having him home until late. The kids missed him a lot, and of course, he missed them like crazy.
And yes, I missed him too, because I know how lucky I am.
